As a female owned brand, we understand the linear constructs we as women have had forced upon us. We are here to break out of those categories and represent any and every body in every way possible, wherever possible.
Whatever way you feel towards your own body, we are here to support you.
We are working towards making this our world and we hope you feel you can come on this journey with us, feeling empowered by the clothing designed for your body.
Ethical
Being ethical was non-negotiable for us when starting this journey. Everyone involved in our journey is treated ethically and responsibly.
Starting out as a small, ethical business in the fashion industry has never been easy, however, we are trying our best and working towards a better future in fashion.
One of the reasons why it was important to us that we sourced a factory within Europe was so that at some point soon, we can visit the factory to see for ourselves the true working conditions of the employees. The factory is ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) accredited. This means that safety and quality are of paramount importance.
This includes:
- No workers under the age of 18 operate machinery.
- All wages meet at least the legal minimum wage requirements.
- Employees are protected by health and safety legislation and law.
- Safe and clean working conditions are adhered to.
- Employees are entitled to breaks throughout their working day.
All the above is the bare minimum companies should be expected to comply with, and we promise to do more each time our company develops.
Currently in fashion, sustainability is a very important issue, and whilst we really do value the importance of sustainability, we also recognise that this is a privilege not all people have. We want our customers to have the option to buy products which are both sustainable and affordable. The fabrics we use are of a high quality, making sure that the product has a longer life therefore, making our garments a more sustainable choice.
We want to be part of the change, not the trend.
Together
Together best describes the reason BETI started. We believe that together, women can change the world and the way we are represented in it. We want our brand to represent all women, from all walks of life, where they are represented in an industry that has spent so long trying to dictate to us what beauty really is.
We believe together we can change the fashion industry!
Inclusive
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to buy clothes that fit them no matter what size. All sizes matter to us. This is not something that is widely available in the fashion industry currently.
Inclusivity has often been a selling point rather than as standard. To us, inclusivity should be a given.
Starting out as an inclusive fashion brand making bespoke manufactured clothes is extremely difficult.
It is made even more difficult when trying to have a varied range of sizing.
For our first collection we created as many sizes as the factory allowed however, we understand that currently our brand does not offer the widest range of sizing.
Our promise to you is that with every new product, we will work as hard as we can to make our brand available to more sizes each time.
